This blog is dedicated to show and change the looks of ridiculous female armors (and other outfits) that women tend to have in media; such as games and comics. The purpose is to show that over-sexualized women is not "empowering", but clearly offensive and ridiculous - not to mention it's also clearly out of context. We'll also show that their clothes could be greatly improved with a touch of common sense, equality and character. Feel free to submit!
Please take note that Tica, the creator of RHA, is currently on Hiatus.

Has anyone submitted Ryuuko from Kill La Kill to this blog yet? I was wondering about that. — rocmegamanx

Yes, actually! We’ve gotten quite a few people sending in stuff about Kill La Kill. Enough that I could probably put together a Master Post…

From kiwicthulhu, suryceunreal-ed, and danuhorus, here’s the concept sheet for Kill la Kill’s sentient sailor fuku uniform. Let’s get some more redraws of this horrible armor!

This is my first submission to this tumblr

I enjoy the Kill La Kill anime for story and action-but…someone please fix the armor for these girls! I will try to attempt to fix it myself if I have the chance, but I would like to see other people’s submissions!

…Which is exactly what I’m doing right now. Master Posting.

In addition to being sent fixing requests and concept art, we’ve gotten a couple of great fixes already:

:So I stumbled across this anime called, “Kill La Kill”. And it’s simple to say that the female protag’s outfit is pretty damn ridiculous.

Quick fix I tried to do, but I dont have any talent. Aye.

Hi, your blog is awesome and has inspired me to try my first fix! I love Studio Trigger’s new anime ‘Kill La Kill’, but if there was ever an outfit desperately asking for a fix, this was it!

Besides Ryuko, there’s also Satsuki Kiryuin:

Who suffers from the very same sentient outfit problems as Ryuko. Because, really, we can’t stress this enough: these outfits are alive. Just imagine wearing a conscious being whose appendages touch you the way these ones do.

We’re all about exposing sexualization of female armor and repairing it, right? Well I think the very concept is irreperable. There will be another post going more in depth about it, but these outfits, which are alive, require a blood sacrifice to activate, which in the context of the other themes of the show means the suit basically requires the wearers, who are always only biologically female, to simulate menstruation AND strip to near-nudity. It’s ridiculous. But I’m loving the redesign attempts anyways.
